We got to walk out on the field, tour the clubhouse and also purchase a red cowbell with a heart on it (hence valentines day). The Rays were creative. We didn't get to see Longoria; the line was out of control to long! But, just to be there was enough to get me thrilled about baseball season. I can just taste the homemade lemonade already!
For all of you who didn't know; I played softball my whole life. Third base was my first position, which explains yet another good reason why i like Longoria! I grew up going to the Marlins spring training practices and games (it was 3 miles from our house). I collected baseball cards and was up to-date on my Beckett magazines! I even once traded baseball cards in my sleep! Those were some of the best memories I have had with my cousin Logan. Logan, do you remember those summers?? Now Logan is a sports writer for Mississippi State. He's a walking, talking sports encyclopedia! Jeff Conine was my favorite player growing up. I have 42 of his baseball cards, 1 autograph and a fly ball of his, oh and I picture made with him when I was in the 4th grade! He retired last Spring with the Marlins and that's when I picked up on Evan Longoria (#3 for the Rays, Rookie of the year 08')!
My passion for base(soft)ball continues! We're going to a spring training game coming up. I can't tell you the exact game for security reasons, but I'll for sure post pictures after!
Now, back to Valentines day!
We came home and Tyler brought out a GORGEOUS, yellow rose bush for us to plant in our backyard! This way I can have yellow flowers all year long. What A sweet man.
Then Tyler and I went to see a movie, Confessions of a Shopoholic, which let me tell you was hilarious! At one point I had tears coming out of my eyes from laughing so hard! It's a must see!
Then we pulled through Sonic for a Strawberry limeade; which killed me that it wasn't happy hour, so I had a to pay full price! Then we ate dinner at The Cheesecake Factory.
It was fantastic day!

So fun! I love the rose bush idea! We got one back in May before Garrett was born and we love it! It grows so quickly and has tons of pink blooms! Ours is called a "knock-out" rose variety. Is this yours? P.S. I SO want to see that movie :) It looks so fun!
