What a weekend

On Friday afternoon, I got a little homesick. Tyler works half days on Friday's so when he walked in the door I asked him if we could go to Melbourne. He said yes and then I replied, "Ok good, I'm already packed!"
We didn't tell my parents we were coming over so it was a huge surprise! My dad works for
corporate Hard Rock so we surprised him and picked him up in Orlando. He car pools with another lady and it worked out that she drove that morning. We drove home with my dad and
then surprised my mother. It was great. I posted a video below.

We went out for pizza that night and stayed up late that night just talking and catching up. The next morning my mother and I went garage selling and had a BLAST! We got some really cool stuff! We all met up at a park for Carson to play. Carson met a little boy Carson's age (only 10
days apart) and they played for EVER!!!!! We chatted with the mom and dad while the boys played and found out that the girl had went to middle school with our friends brother. It's such
a small world. We had a really good time talking with them. She had never heard of Dr. James
Dobson...We talked him up enough that she was going to go buy some of his books. They are
dealing with the exact discipline issues we're dealing with too. It was nice
to talk to someone who's in the exact same place in life. They were an awesome couple.

Saturday night my parents next door neighbors came over. They have a little boy who's 2. He's a sweet little boy names Izoo. His real name is Izzana but they call him Izoo. We love his name, it fits him perfectly. The dad works in Washington D.C. and travels back an forth. This is the
cool part. He works with Lynn Cheney (who's a great children's author but AKA Dick Cheney's wife). He got a book for Carson and had her sign it. That was really cool!
After grilling out my mother and I went to CVS to get our good deals. Boy do we know how to work the system!!!! You wouldn't believe the deals we got. FYI, CVS has coupons for a $25 gift
card with every transferred prescription. So if you work the system right, we transfer our
prescriptions to Walgreens (they honor the coupon) then back to CVS, then back to
Walgreens, then back to CVS. I love, LOVE, LOVE a good deal!
That night we painted our toe's!

Ok, Sunday we went to church then had lunch with Shanna and Shands. IF YOU KNOW THEM, can you please talk them into moving back over here. We miss them so much.

Ok, now I will tell you all about the little man. We've REALLY been focusing on praying. We pray when we wake up and eat breakfast, when we eat lunch, eat dinner, when we lay him down for the night and when we feel like praying during the day. So now that we've been doing this
consistently, when we say "Let's pray!" He holds out his hands to hold our hands to pray. Then
when we're done and say "Amen!" He just smiles. Parents out there, It's such a cool thing to
pray with your children. I know of a family that began praying with their child really early and
before they knew it he had picked it up so quickly. I wish we would have started this earlier than 16 months!

Anyway, the last thing I wanted to tell you about the little man is that he said "BALL!" yesterday!

Kara, I'm telling you.... you and your mom do exactly what my mom and I do in relation to coupons, garage sales, etc. It was hilarious reading your post because I knew exactly how you felt! I'm glad you got to go home for a visit. Those are the best times!

I loved the video Kara. It made me homesick for Andrew to be with his grandparents! Thanks for sharing that fun family time with us!

I love your run down of the weekend. I only wish I was there with you all too! I do the same thing with the CVS coupons and Uncle Glenn doesn't get it. Hey, a $100 is a $100!!! Thanks for letting us share in your life. We love you all so much.
