My parents gave us a Lionel train set for our tree. I had a train for our tree growing up, it was always my dads favorite part of decorating for christmas every year. I'm excited to now share this memory with Carson! He LOVED it, he is so much like his Papa!
This was Carson's ABSOLUTE favorite present Santa brought him! Oh my, ya'll have no idea. He loves it, wanting to "cook" all the time! If only we wanted Oreos severd with an egg...? An interesting combination our little chef prepared for us! Well, there's always a story, right? We bought this stove at a garage sale, I mean, Santa bought this at a garage sale a couple of weeks or months ago. Are you ready for this, we bought the stove for $6 with all the food, pots and pans INCLUDED. Isn't that wonderful! Yesterday, we went online looking up the company who makes it to try and find matching pieces for it. WOW, did we strike GOLD the day of the garage sale! To buy brand new, it would cost us $225 to replace it. The company has been making these wooden creative play toys for over 50 years. We now own an antique wooden stove. All for (6) one dollar bills. Pretty cool, huh!?!?! Sometimes the best gifts and treasures were at one point someone else's junk. It made giving this year so much more special!
We had a wonderful Christmas this year. We are truely thankful to have each other and the little man to share the joy and excitement with. Becoming a parent means more to me now than it even did two years ago. I forever thought christmas was exciting as a child, but being a parent and giving to my child is even MORE exciting!
